I hate the car buying experience. Had my Dodge Durango for 12 years, but it was past time to break down and get something new. Have had good experiences with Lochmandy Elkhart, but stopped in on a whim at Halls. We'd just had some detailing work done there on our cars (through Groupon) and thought they did a fantastic job. Great customer service and went the extra mile. Well, it so happended that they had this pretty little black Laredo with a special dealer package that I fell in love with. My husband and I met with Kim Heckaman. Nice guy; no hassles or high pressure at all. Didn't balk at any of our requests --very easy negotiation process. One of the most pleasant business transactions we've had. I will take advantage of their oil changes; detailing and other services as we need them. I am expecting all experiences to be just as pleasant. We defintely recommend Hall.
"A dealership we can call our own"
We recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and wish to describe our experience. I first visited the dealership when it opened, and the changes have been remarkable and thorough in every detail. The staff at first was undermanned, and several people I sent to the dealership were not pleased with their experience, citing too long a wait, and overworked sales people who were not fully aware of their product. I can say now that any growing period is complete. The staff is thorough in its courteous, professional and knowledgeable service. I am fortunate to count Dan Hall among my friends, and he is among the finest people, let alone just car dealers, that I have met, in both his professionalism and his personal character. So I was not surprised at the service he afforded me. However, to see this service extended to me by the entire staff was a first. I have purchased over two dozen vehicles for myself and my family over the past forty- eight years, so these comments are based on experience and considerable reference. Ken Scritchfield is congenial without being "salesman swarmy". He is honest, goes out of his way to help however possible, shares a good sense of humor, and is down to earth. He, like the rest of this staff, has earned my trust and confidence. Caleb Fairchild was very patient in explaining the new high tech electronics that were not around when I purchased one of the first 1993 Grand Cherokees in 1992, or even a few years ago when I last purchased a vehicle. Never was he condescending. Nick was not involved in my purchase directly, but always greets me and makes me feel welcome when I visit. Patty Sipe really knows the details of all the transaction paper work. She too is most friendly and answers all of my questions. When I asked unusual questions, such as about purchasing different tires than normally come with the Grand Cherokee, she had all the information I needed. The woman who greets people at the door, and who's name escapes me, is very kind and welcoming, ready to point me in the right direction or find a specific person for me. This staff treats me as a person, not just a customer, and the sincerity is appreciated. I have recommended this dealership to quite a few people. In the early months of the dealership, I received some negative comments. But not anymore. Some have purchased new or used vehicles; some have had service or detailing performed on their cars. All of them are pleased with the experience, and all are continuing the word of mouth network. What can I suggest to improve the dealership? I realize the building was used by a previous dealer, one where I had purchased a Subaru. While the structure cannot be changed, I would recommend more signage directing people to Parts. Service is easy enough to pull into the bay and drop the car off. But when I returned to purchase a set of floor mats, I wasn't sure where to park; nor did I see any arrows or signs directing me to the parts department. My purchase was not the normal experience, so I don't know if a walk and introduction to the parts and service departments is already included in the sales process. I assume it is, as repeat business and customer comfort and knowledge are all key elements. When I was there, staff in both departments were again friendly and quick to help me. Also, I would like to see more current brochures. I know Jeep Grand Cherokee brochures are hard to come by. I've called or e-mailed Jeep directly requesting them, and not always received them. It is particularly helpful when wanting to double check information found on the web, or in picking out a color. For example, I haven't seen the Black Forest Green. It isn't always possible to have vehicles in all the colors on the lot, but if there were brochures, and perhaps a large color swatch poster for each brand sold posted to the wall with various lighting available to shine on it, it would be appreciated. I think it would also help close deals, as color is a prime consideration for many buyers, and this is a subtle enticement. Again, the friendly service, absent of any pushiness found at some of your competitors, the welcoming nature of your staff, and the quality of your product make this not only an experience without buyer's remorse, but one that will foster long standing relationships. My wife and I have been very pleased with our purchase, and plan to buy another Grand Cherokee as soon as the 2014's are available. Like most people, we want a dealership that we can call our own, from purchase to service, to the way we are treated. Building lasting relationships is somewhat rare in this industry, but I believe you are on the right path.

Everyone was so helpful and friendly, your GM answered all my questions and my salesperson, Caleb Fairchild, was so helpful. He made sure I was purchasing exactly what I was looking for.
